I love your story. i was born in Mtn. View, AR, in 1933. we lived on a farm
in Al my growing years, and I know about feed sack, making clothes and a
large family. I hope to make the DWR in the near future for my son’s anniversary. (I have quilted since I was 9 yrs old. still love it) thanks.

I am going to order 7 or 8 of these. I make homemade quilts by hand. I can’t cut well and even but they are with love made and given. My grandmother Grace Mckinney was from Altapass apple orchard area. She taught me and my sisters how to sew. Nancy my sis and I love it and do it till this day. Lavonne is more of a homebody as is my mom also. They only sew as needed.I love it and Nancy does too. Thanks for this site.

Nice quilt and story about the family .
With allot of help I too made each of my six children a quilt.
Two of our children were just married so I’ve been interested in making them a wedding quilt.
